Polimnia Ensemble

The ENSEMBLE debuted at the International Weeks of Ensemble Music in Naples in 1992. Since then, the group has regularly taken part in musical events, concert seasons and Italian and international Festivals such as: Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Paisiello in Lecce (which was inaugurated by the Polimnia Ensemble and the event was filmed by RAI3) Milan Concert Society, Teatro Parioli in Rome, Concerts in the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome (broadcasted by Radio 3 from the Cappella Paolina), Festival Nuova Consonanza in Rome, Fiuggi International Festival, Santa Cecilia Academy (Rome), Festwochen Herrenhausen, Hannover (Germany), University of Music in Toronto (Canada), Royal Palace in Lisbon. Since 1985 the Polimnia Ensemble has been regularly invited to perform in the Russian Federation in prestigious concert halls, such as the Rachmaninov Hall in the Moscow Conservatory and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.
Among the discographic productions, there are three monographies upon chamber music from Rossini, Donizetti and Mercadante for the label Musikstrasse. Composers such as Bussotti, Clementi and Pennisi have composed expressely for the Polimnia Ensemble.
Among the most prestigious cooperations, there are the ones with Milena Vukotic, Ninetto Davoli, Cecilia Gasdia and Josè Carreras.
Since 2003, the Polimnia Ensemble has created and carried out the Campus of Arts and Knowledge in San Gemini, with the cooperation of the Gruppo Bacus.
Since 2003 the Polimnia Ensemble has also created the Children's Music Festival Fantamusicasìa, now at its third edition, in cooperation with the Local Authority for the Children and Family Policies of the Municipality of Rome and important sponsors such as WIND, IBM and Banca di Credito Cooperativo.
